The CENTRE FOR SYSTEMS SOLUTIONS (CRS) is an international organization established in 2005 with an aim to develop and apply innovative methods, system tools and technologies, including digital multiplayer games, board games and role-playing simulations. They are used to support research, education, and policy experimentation in the area of sustainability.

As an expert in sustainability, you will be tasked with a wide range of research activities that will be used as a basis for social simulations development, scientific articles, and grant applications. We are looking for someone flexible and communicative. Excellent written and spoken English is a must, as your job will involve cooperation on international research projects in the field of sustainability with partners from top European universities and research institutes.

Collaboration with partners on international research projects (Horizon 2020)
Searching for information on various topics related to sustainable development (including transdisciplinary ecological, economic and social contexts) to be used for social simulations development, scientific articles, and grant applications
Writing research and general audience articles
Cooperating and networking with international partners
Representing the organization in an international expert environment
Participation in international events, including project and game workshops (preparation and execution)
Writing grant proposals and an ongoing search for open calls for proposals
Contacts with the media
Support in day-to-day organizational tasks
University degree(PhD) in one of the disciplines closely linked to sustainable development: e.g. social geography, environmental economics, environmental engineering
State-of-the-art knowledge of sustainable development issues, including the Sustainable Development Goals, climate change, climate change mitigation/ adaptation (e.g. Paris Agreement), energy transition, natural disasters, behavioral change, etc.
Ability to quickly learn new topics
Fluent command of English in speech and writing (to be verified during the job interview)
Experience in writing grant proposals
Cooperation and communication skills
Professional approach to establishing and maintaining contacts (ability to create a positive organizational image)
Quick and effective search, analysis and processing of scientific information (also in the areas beyond current experience)
Accuracy, reliability and excellent organizational skills
Mobility (willingness to go on business trips)
Conscientiousness, independence, responsibility-these are not just fancy words-we really value these traits
Nice to have
Experience in moderating events (conferences, discussion panels, workshops)
Knowledge of computer and board games, especially serious games
Experience in working for the benefit of society and the natural environment

Flexible work time (40 hours per week)
