Trainer, facilitator

Location: Wrocław

The CENTRE FOR SYSTEMS SOLUTIONS (CRS) is a non-profit organization established in 2005 with an aim to develop and apply innovative methods, system tools and technologies, including digital multiplayer games, board games, and role-playing simulations to support research, education, and policy experimentation in the area of sustainability worldwide.

The role

Do you have experience in group facilitation? Have you successfully designed and delivered online courses? Do you care about the future of our planet? If yes, then you may be a good candidate for this post! As a trainer, facilitator, you will be tasked with a wide range of process design, educational design, training execution, and facilitation tasks. Depending on our emerging commitments, you may be asked to design a new online course on how to use one of our social simulations, you may facilitate a workshop with high-level policy makers to provide input for new simulations, or may need to deliver a presentation at an international event. We expect flexibility, openness, as well as excellent and broad communication, collaboration, and educational skills. Excellent written and spoken English is a must, as your job will involve cooperation on international research projects in the field of sustainability with partners from top European universities and research institutes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating educational courses (including all learning materials) for our social simulations
  • Designing and delivering simulation workshops and trainings
  • Designing and facilitating stakeholder workshops
  • Cooperating and networking with international partners
  • Participating in international conferences and events, including presentations delivery and panel discussions
  • Searching and arranging information on various topics related to sustainability to provide subject-matter content for Social
  • Simulations courses
  • Collaboration with partners on international research projects and support in project coordination
  • Writing dissemination articles and social media posts
  • Contributing to grant proposals preparation

Key Requirements/Experience

  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Training Facilitator, Training Coordinator or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with online learning platforms – both course design and delivery
  • Knowledge of traditional and modern active educational methods
  • Experience in moderating events (conferences, discussion panels, workshops)
  • Ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, execute, monitor, and evaluate)
  • Excellent cooperation, communication and organizational skills
  • State-of-the-art knowledge of sustainable development issues, including the Sustainable Development Goals, climate change mitigation/ adaptation (e.g. Paris Agreement), energy transition, disaster risk management, behavioral change, etc.
  • Ability to quickly learn new topics
  • Fluent command of English in speech and writing (to be verified during the job interview)
  • Professional approach to establishing and maintaining contacts (ability to create a positive organizational image)
  • Accuracy, reliability and excellent organizational skills
  • Mobility (willingness to go on business trips)
  • Conscientiousness, independence, responsibility-these are not just fancy words-we really value these traits

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of computer and board games, especially serious games
  • Experience in working for the benefit of society and the natural environment
