Łukasz Kowalski

I am a geographer who has fallen in love with maps, geospatial data, systems and games. I see cities and regions as constantly evolving beasts, fighting for space and air to breathe, built with millions of interconnected elements. We live in a complex world, facing pandemics, rapid technology advances, information overflows and climate changes – the only way to understand it is to experience it through games and simulations.

I have worked for a university, an international corporation, a regional office and various other actors, who taught me how to see our world from different perspectives. In the Center for Systems Solutions, I carry out research, analyze data, create maps and co-design games and simulations. I love exploring new lands, traveling and meeting with people.
