Nexus Game in Egypt!
Nexus Game in Egypt!
Our Nexus Game took a trip to Cairo, Egypt! Piotr Magnuszewski participated in the 5-day ‘Water Modelling Approaches to Egyptian Academics’ workshop organized by the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis and Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT). The workshop’s main goal was to introduce Egyptian academics to its water modeling approaches.
Through our Nexus Game, participants had the chance to explore differing needs and approaches to the synergies and trade-offs between countries in water, food, and energy. We were really happy to hear that the game: “inspires to take initiative in the real world and to provide superiors with suggestions, and look at the problems from various perspectives”.
The whole workshop was facilitated by Simon Langan, Program Director of the IIASA Water Program, who was assisted by Sylvia Tramberend and Yusuke Satoh all Research Scholars within the IIASA Water Program and, of course, Piotr Magnuszewski.
Kim Montgomery, External Relations Officer also participated, introducing IIASA and its capacity building activities to the group.
