A new article entitled “Lessons from COVID-19 for managing transboundary climate risks and building resilience” co-created by Piotr Magnuszewski and Łukasz Jarząbek has been published in the Climate Risk Management journal.

It sheds light on the challenges revealed by the COVID-19 pandemic in the global management of climate crises. It also assumes that proper responses showcased in the paper can prevent disrupting societies at multiple scales.

The role of Piotr and Łukasz was to present the Cascading Climate Impacts (CCI) policy simulation developed in 2020, which reflects on the possible climate-triggered events cascading across continents with final impacts on Europe.

The article was created within the European Commission H2020-funded CASCADES (CAScading Climate risks: towards ADaptive and resilient European Societies) project, Grant agreement number 821010 and RECEIPT (REmote Climate Effects and their Impact on European sustainability, Policy and Trade) project.
