Kick-Off Meeting of the MultiFutures Project!

In late February 2024, Noam Obermeister represented our organization at the kick-off meeting of the MultiFutures Project in Vienna, Austria. Coordinated by the Energy Institute at Johannes Kepler University Linz, the MultiFutures Project brings together 11 partners from 10 countries.

The MultiFutures Project aims to investigate alternatives to traditional growth models, including Degrowth, Doughnut Economics, and Sufficiency Economics. The goal is to identify new policy objectives and mechanisms for achieving a post-growth future. By bridging theory and practice, the project will assess the impacts of these paradigms on social, economic, environmental, and political dimensions, ultimately fostering a climate-neutral, just, and resilient society.

Our organization will design and implement the Anticipatory Systems Mapping method and a social simulation to engage a diverse range of stakeholders—from EU decision-makers to local communities. This participatory approach ensures that a wide array of perspectives is integrated into the project’s development.
