DECEMBER – New Shores Event

Date: 11th of December 2020

Time: 15.00 – 18.00 Central European Time

This events are composed of two constituent parts with a 20 minutes break in between.

Part 1 – New Shores – social simulation

New Shores is a multiplayer internet game that sends players to a vibrant, green island. With wild forests and rich coal deposits, it seems a perfect place to lead a long, peaceful life. Initially equipped with nothing more than a basic hut and a couple of action points, the players are earning money, protecting their households and developing public infrastructure. On their way, they discover that all these actions are interlinked; while exploiting the island’s natural resources may quickly improve their living conditions, it may also disturb the island’s ecological balance and lead to natural disasters.

For more info about the game, visit New Shores’ official website.

Part 2 – Networking workshop

The networking workshop is aimed at creating a forum for the exploration of the opportunities and shared areas for collaboration between participants. Specifically in the Energy Efficiency theme. The creative part of the workshop will focus on brainstorming ideas for initiatives and projects for future collaboration.

The project is supported by the EIT Climate-KIC
