In our today’s world, rapid changes in nature and society are highly interconnected – climate, ecosystems, biodiversity, population, economies, and so on. Trying to understand the root causes of current problems can be very difficult. But there is a possibility to explore the way forward! We introduce to you: Climate and Society Game!

The game had its first test in the BOKU Centre for Research Development in Vienna last week. It was organized in collaboration with the Institute of Hydrobiology and Aquatic Ecosystem Management (BOKU), Plenum, Pioneers of Change and Kwan Um Zen Wien. Thirty people from all over the world (South Africa, Kenya, Poland, China, Germany, Mexico and Austria) gathered to take part in this social simulation exercise.

Thanks to the strong and enthusiastic engagement of the players, we had lots of fun and the time passed all too fast! Moreover, we received very positive feedback and got plenty ideas for redesign and improvements.
