Centre for Systems Solutions contributes to the Stockholm Resilience Conference 2017
The Centre for Systems Solutions made a mark on this year Stockholm Resilience Conference! Our very own Piotr Magnuszewski contributed to the conference with his presentation “Simulation games as tools for handling cognitive and social complexity in the context of sustainability transition”. During the presentation, Piotr talked about the use of social simulation as a new method to understand stakeholders’ cognitive processes and interactions.
Conference’s participants could also visit the poster session. There, all venue visitors had a chance to read “Navigating Conservation-Development-Disaster Complexities in Social-Ecological Systems Using Role-play Serious Gaming” poster created by Piotr, Wei Liu, Yidan Yang and Nan Cheng.
The Stockholm Resilience Conference is organized by the Stockholm Resilience Centre and Resilience Alliance on triennial basis since 2008. During Resilience 2017, the participants discussed resilience as a key lens for biosphere-based sustainability science.
