Education to Citizenship – study visit to Norway
Education to Citizenship – study visit to Norway
In April, our team took part in a study visit to Norway as part of the project “Education to Citizenship”. The study visit was hosted by the project partner – Phronesis SA.
Over the course of three eventful days, we embarked on an immersive journey focused on civic education and community engagement. The main topic of the meetings was how community organisers can use dialogue methods for change and facilitative leadership.
The meetings during the visit revolved around three themes:
- dialogue and facilitation as participatory approaches
- a philosophy and politics of participation
- pedagogical models for civic education
During the visit to a local school, Michalina Kułakowska from our team led a test of our new social simulation – (After) Fantast. We are very happy to have fruitful conversations with our partners and excited to develop a community organising game that will present the topic of civic engagement.
The project partners of the Education to Citizenship are Common Thing Foundation (Fundacja Rzecz Społeczna), Stanisław Brzozowski Association (Krytyka Polityczna) and Phronesis SA. “Education to citizenship” benefits from a grant of EUR 171 017 through the EEA Funds.
