As part of the project  “Improved urban mobility toward climate neutrality under new working habits and transport modes (IMUMCN)”, the Centre for Systems Solutions (CRS) has entered into cooperation with Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.

The task of the CRS was to develop a social simulation for the project partner titled “Mobility as a Service for Poznań” (the “MaaS Poznań” simulation). Its objective is to explore the opportunities and challenges related to the development of the mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) model in Poznań, as well as its integration with existing individual and public transport systems.

The “MaaS Poznań” simulation places the future of the city’s transport systems within a broader context of contemporary challenges, including transport data management, accessibility of urban space, the functioning of supply chains, as well as energy, environmental, and economic objectives.

The first run of the simulation engages decision-makers, practitioners, entrepreneurs, researchers, and activists involved in transport in Poznań. Bringing together diverse perspectives creates space for discussion on the future directions of urban mobility and enables a better understanding of the needs of key stakeholders within the transport system.

As part of the project, the CRS team will also deliver training for facilitators from Adam Mickiewicz University. The “MaaS Poznań” simulation has been designed to allow for further development and use in educational and research activities.
