On July 28, our team led the Future of Food simulation during an online Science and Diplomacy course organized by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS).

The participants, pairs consisting of a representative from the academia and the policy making, played the roles of delegates various countries and organizations responsible for global security and prosperity.

In these roles, they explored four interactive storylines offering different viewpoints and possible solutions to the global food crisis. The goal was to develop a proposal for a new set of regulations that would counteract the food crisis presented in the simulation.

After the simulation, many participants shared their opinions about the workshop:
